Mission 1:27 Family,

We are excited to let you know that Mission 1:27 is sending over another group of travelers to Russia to see our friends and family in Slobodskoy. The trip is over Holy Week (March 31 – Easter Sunday, April 8) and will be our largest group ever with 24 travelers. As you might expect, there’s a lot of work to be done to prepare for our journey. More updates will be sent as our travel date nears but we appreciate your thoughts and prayers over the next six weeks.

One of the most important aspects of our trip is the delivery of personal letters from our Mission 1:27 family to the children in Slobodskoy. In order to make sure that every child has a letter, we are hosting another “Mail Call” event at Christ United Methodist Church in Ascension Hall on Sunday, March 4^th from 9:30 to 12:30 pm. Please stop by to write a short note of love and encouragement to a Russian orphan. The children love receiving letters and just a few minutes of your time can have a huge impact! Everyone is welcome and we hope that you will make an effort to stop by.

Sponsors are asked to provide a photo (3×5 or 4×6) and an index card with 2 or 3 interesting facts about themselves. Be sure to include your sponsored child’s name on the photo and index card. If you cannot attend the event, these items can be left in the mailbox in Ascension Hall before March 18th.
