There’s something to be said about a group of kids who have so little but give so much, a group of kids who can open up to someone when so many others in their lives have abandoned them. The kids here in Slobodskoy have shown me a new definition of bravery by making themselves vulnerable.
Throughout this trip, people have literally had their arms open, ready to give and receive God’s love. On our first day, we were greeted by a tunnel of kids leading to Galina, with her arms open ready to hug us. During the day, members of our family group run up to us and give us hugs. And as the younger kids play with you and the older kids slowly open up, you realize how much God and His love are present here. And I feel extremely blessed just to be a part of it.
That is beautiful! Even from so many miles away, I can feel their love for you and yours for them. You and your family have placed yourselves where you can be eloquent spokespersons for those who cannot defend and protect themselves. Thank you for your heart and your perspective. Brave is indeed the defining word! I am thanking God for all of you!
