We wanted to let everyone know that we are now safely in Moscow. It’s 11:35 am Moscow time and we have checked into our hotel, showered and will be heading off shortly for shopping at Izmailovo Market and dining on some of the best open air shish kebobs you can imagine.
It has been a whirlwind week filled with lifelong memories and special stories. We regret that we have not been able to blog as frequently as we had hoped. It’s quite overwhelming at times to process all of the emotions and capture the words on paper (computer) – while at the same time spending our evenings in devotion, writing letters to the kids and spending time fellowshipping with our friends and translators at the hotel. Know that our hearts our filled with amazing things that have happened…even if this blog is not equally as filled 🙂
That being said, we are going to try to post a few more updates before leaving for home in about 24 hours. As we reflect on the trip, new memories and important aspects will come to our minds. We’ll also try to recap what we did each day to give you a little glimpse into our family reunion. Our hope is that we can convey some of the feelings and emotions that we are experiencing now as we shift gears and head home.
To whet your appetite, we will post a few photos taken by our master paparazzi, Koss. They begin to capture the moment in ways that words can’t describe…look for those later today.
Thanks for your prayers, love and support.
Mission 1:27
You have chosen to focus on the most important aspects of trip…nurturing those young ones and encouraging one another! We will have more time to hear about your journey when you return home. Praying for your safety, your health, and smooth travels home.
Travel safe. Glad it was a good week. I am sure it feels bittersweet to be in Moscow.
