After returning to my hotel room, our last night in Moscow, I couldn’t stop thinking about how to prepare for the next trip. Each one of the group members was given the task to find one person who would be interested in future travels; whether it be in the fall, a year from now, or five years from now, it is still one more person who will provide hope for the children in Slobodskoy. I could share highlights of the trip, jokes we share within the group, or describe every child within the orphanage, but that’s not even necessary.
Every person on this trip can agree that they see Jesus in every single child. When they smile, the Lord is glowing in their eyes. When they are content with just sitting in silence with you, the Holy Spirit is swirling around you. When they just want a hand to hold or a friend to hug, you feel the warmth of their blessed heart touching yours.
This is the sole reason as to why any one person should partake in this heart wrenching, glorious, spiritual, whirlwind of a mission trip.
These children, every single one of them, is a child of the Lord as are we. With one another hand in hand, anything is possible and nothing is unreachable. We are a family together. If you don’t believe me, come see for yourself.
Grace-
What a beautiful writing describing the real presence of God within these children. He is truly alive within “the least of these.” Thank you so much for sharing the love of God with all of the children and adults in Slobodskoy on our behalf. You all are our ambassadors and we are grateful!

Grace,
Beautiful insight about the nature of love that is available to us in our world, if only we open our selves to see each person as a precious creation of God. And pretty darn persuasive about future trips, I must say! Safe travels to your American home.
Love,
Christy
Dear Grace,
I love the title of your blog…you are blessed to be a can-do woman like your Mom! Thank you for helping us to see how the Holy Spirit moved in and among you in Russia. The Holy Spirit is in our heart and minds and with that spark of God’s love – you are truly “passing it on!”
Hope to see you soon.
Peace,
Barbara
